For the last 12 years, Greenprints has provided a forum for changing the way practitioners think about planning, architecture, construction and the use of natural resources. This year’s highlight was the renowned keynote speaker Ed Mazria, who discussed his work with the Architecture 2030 Challenge – the effort to make all new and renovated buildings carbon neutral by the year 2030.
A unique feature of Greenprints 2009 was the ULI “Conference within a Conference.” Through collaboration with the Urban Land Institute-Atlanta, this embedded conference, held on the morning of March 26th, included sessions on the real-world delivery of “green.”
In addition, Greenprints hosted a half-day charrette and a half-day workshop on Thursday’s menu of options. We hope that all who attended enjoyed these and other aspects of this year’s conference.
The Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority and Southface, together with our numerous other government and industry sponsors, thank you for your support of Greenprints.
