Sumner Pomeroy serves as Program Manager for the Sustainable Communities and Transportation team and works with non-profit Clean Cities Georgia, hosted at Southface, to advance clean transportation solutions throughout the state. She serves as a connector for grant opportunities, provides education related to electric vehicles and other alternative fuels, and strives towards equitable outcomes that promote clean air for all. Sumner is a native to Atlanta and has a Master of Environmental Planning and Design from University of Georgia.
Through her past roles, she has almost ten years of experience with nonprofit project and program management. She previously worked as a Program Manager for Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful to coordinate volunteer programs focused on litter reduction, clean streams, and recycling. More recently, she served as the Program Coordinator for UGA’s Small Business Development Center: Multicultural Business Division to assist women-owned and minority-owned small businesses with procurement related concerns. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, or playing with her bird.
