The location is particularly meaningful this year, as we’re currently working with Oakland Cemetery on their new, sustainable visitor’s center through our GoodUse program!
We’ll share food and drinks as we connect over the year’s sustainability successes and our aspirations for 2025. We will also present our 2024 Luminary Award to the Southern Environment Law Center for the conservation and clean energy victories they made possible throughout the region.

Southface Institute is proud to present our 2024 Luminary Award to the Southern Environmental Law Center (SELC) for their transformative sustainability work throughout the region. From securing equitable clean energy policies—like community solar programs for low-income families in South Carolina—to expanding solar and energy savings initiatives in Georgia, SELC is shaping a more sustainable energy future. They also help protect vital ecosystems, including Georgia’s Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, and champion rail, transit, and water security initiatives.
