The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association recently hosted Dennis Creech at their June regional meeting, where he was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the organization. Thank you to The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association for having Dennis, and for bestowing this honor!
“This Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates Dennis’ commitment to improving the built environment in the region through the good work of Southface,” said Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Executive Vice President David Ellis. In particular, Dennis partnered with the GAHBA to create the first green building program in the Southeast, EarthCraft, in 1999. The EarthCraft program has expanded over the past 17 years to improve the durability, health and efficiency of building stock across the region.
Dennis spoke about the importance of sustainable building design at the meeting. After 38 years in the green building industry, he had a wealth of knowledge to share with attendees, from his experience living in an EarthCraft home to the health benefits of working in a LEED Platinum office building. The association has been around since 1945, assisting homeowners in the process of creating and maintaining their dream dwellings. You can learn more at www.atlantahomebuilders.com.
