Southface Awarded Grant to Research Indoor Air Quality in Homes

Building America, a Department of Energy program, awarded Southface a grant to investigate indoor air quality (IAQ) in new and existing homes. Working with key industry experts, Southface expects to research the anticipated link between IAQ and chronic health problems.

Southface Honors Dennis Creech at Annual Visionary Dinner

On Thursday, September 8, the Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium was filled for Southface’s annual Visionary Dinner. Close to 600 business leaders, nonprofit executives, policymakers and sustainability enthusiasts joined us to celebrate outgoing Executive Director Dennis Creech, and his 38 years of service to Southface.

Transitional Housing Expanded with Help from HomeAid and EarthCraft

In early June, HomeAid Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates housing facilities for organizations serving homeless families and individuals in the metro Atlanta area, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Phoenix Pass transitional housing development in the Conyers/Rockdale area.
