The Bank of America Plaza, an Atlanta icon built in 1992, is the tallest commercial building in the Southeast and the eleventh tallest building in the U.S. The 55-story tower totaling over 1.49 million square feet joined the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge (ABBC) in 2012 following a feasibility study. The decision was made to pursue LEED as a response to tenant demand for high-performance building offering occupant comfort, a healthy workplace and efficient operations.
