Clean and Equitable Energy for All

Southface’s Advocacy Program supports climate resiliency through community engagement, adoption of clean energy solutions, and effective policy advocacy. We collaborate with stakeholders on local, state, and regional policy issues to support equitable clean energy in the Southeast.

Our three-pronged strategy drives policy change: education and outreach, coalition-building, and high-impact regulatory interventions. We actively seek to connect more people to decision-making processes, providing training and support for effective policy advocacy. We also engage directly as a technical expert in regulatory proceedings, working to advance equity, inclusion, and community impact.

Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy

In collaboration with our partners, Southface works to engage and educate local and state policy and decision makers about advancing the clean energy and regenerative economy in the Southeast. Southface legislative and regulatory advocacy focuses on enabling an equitable transition to a low-carbon future and understanding resource efficiency alongside clean energy as fundamental to our shared prosperity.

2023 Advocacy Training Workshops and Roundtable Discussion Series

Southface invites you to join our advocacy training workshops and roundtable discussion series, which are open to the public. Our Advocacy Program events are designed to give you the information and tools you need for meaningful engagement on climate, equity, and clean energy issues in Georgia, Florida, and the Southeast. We welcome everyone to participate and contact us if you have any questions!

Resource Efficiency

Southface has long been involved in initiatives that encourage large-scale adoption of resource-efficient practices. We partner with utilities, implementers, and communities to support deployment of cost-effective energy efficiency programs and energy management goals to reduce energy burden.
